A 16-year-old girl was killed and her mother hospitalized early Saturday when a man allegedly drove his SUV onto a Queens sidewalk and struck them after an argument, law enforcement sources said.

Surveillance footage shows a Chevy Suburban speeding through the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Benham Street around 4 a.m. before mounting the sidewalk. Police said the victims — a mother and daughter walking with another man — were hit as they made their way down Roosevelt Avenue.

According to sources, Johanny Gomez-Alvarez, 16, had been at a nearby restaurant with her mother and each of their boyfriends earlier that night. The mother’s boyfriend reportedly got into a verbal and physical dispute with the man later identified as the SUV driver.

When the group left the restaurant on foot, the 38-year-old suspect allegedly got into his vehicle and drove directly at the women, pinning the teen against a utility pole. She died at the scene.

Video shows the Suburban speed through the intersection, jump the curb, strike the group, then back up and drive the wrong way down Benham Street before crashing into a parked car.

Police identified the driver as Edwin Cruz Gomez, 38. He abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by officers soon after.
