Indianapolis, IN — A 37-year-old man is in custody after a bar fight on the city’s south side left another man critically injured, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).
The incident happened around 1 a.m. on Aug. 16 at That Place Bar & Grill, located at 8810 S. Emerson Ave.
When officers arrived, they found 31-year-old David Risley unconscious on the ground outside the bar. Medics transported him to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition. IMPD has not released any updates on his recovery status.
After interviewing multiple witnesses and reviewing security footage, investigators identified Terence Lambert, 37, as the suspect. Officers arrested Lambert on Tuesday without incident.
He was booked into the Marion County Jail on a preliminary charge of aggravated battery. A court hearing date has not yet been set.
