NEW YORK — Police are searching for a suspect accused of repeatedly stabbing a 23-year-old man as he exited a Bx9 bus in the Bronx last week, the NYPD said Tuesday.
The incident happened around 9:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, near a bus stop opposite 321 East Fordham Road. Officials said the attacker approached the victim from behind and stabbed him multiple times in the back and left arm with a sharp object before fleeing on foot.
The victim was taken by EMS to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
Police described the suspect as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and carrying a black backpack at the time of the attack.
