SOUTH BEND, Ind. — A vehicle struck six Holy Cross College students near campus Monday evening at the intersection of S.R. 933 and Dorr Road, according to the St. Joseph County Police.
Authorities said the vehicle was turning left onto S.R. 933 from Dorr Road when it hit the students as they crossed the street around 5:15 p.m.
Three of the six students were taken to Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Holy Cross College released a statement following the incident:
“Earlier this evening, a vehicle struck Holy Cross College students near campus. Emergency personnel responded immediately, and the students are receiving medical attention,” said Matt Palmer, Associate Vice President for Integrated Marketing and Communications.
The college stated that students’ names and further details will not be released at this time.
